The Allentown First Friday Gallery Walk presents “Art and the City” to celebrate Buffalo’s emergence into a more urban, international, and sustainable city! On July 7th, Allen Street, between Franklin St. & Virginia Place, will be closed to traffic to allow the pedestrian free range of the street for a fun family event.
The Allentown First Friday Gallery Walks are funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; administered by Arts Services Initiative of WNY, Inc.

Get ready for this exciting lineup – there’s something for everyone:
➥ The University Heights Tool Library will be on hand showing how its initiative is having lasting community impacts for the City of Buffalo through its tool lending membership.
➥ Team Razor Wire will be painting a mural wall that you can help with. When it’s done we’ll be looking for a permanent home for the wall, too!

➥ Knit in Public Buffalo will be working on a public arts knitting project, where you are welcome to join.
➥ Mj Myers will create chalk murals using the street as his canvas. Don’t worry, there will be our usual jumbo chalk on hand so you can create, too!
➥ Ultra Hoops will keep you hula hooping through the night!
