      Now that curbside snow mounds are melting, the city has announced its dates for spring bulk trash collections. April 12 for the portion of Allentown in the Ellicott Council District April 19 for the bulk of the neighborhood in the Fillmore district April 26 for the sliver in the Niagara district. Trash should go out on Sunday for collection

    On April 12, a formal ceremony will take place for One Allentown: an historic achievement for the Buffalo preservation community. Julian W. Adams, New York State Historic Preservation Office Community Liaison and Investment Tax Credit Program Coordinator, will lead the observance with remarks to dedicate the newly enhanced Allentown Historic District and the presentation of an Allentown National Register certificate.
